Week 7 for the Broncos sees them hosting the New York Giants, after a forgettable outing last week against the Jets, this Giants defense presents a great opportunity for Denver's offense to bounce back, as the Giants currently rank as DEF28 in yards allowed at over 370 yards of offense as well as DEF20 in points allowed at 24 to opponents. With some notable performances against such as Omarion Hampton with 128 rushing yards and a TD, as well as Javonte Williams with 97 rushing yards and a TD, this matchup sees some big boom potential from Denver's playmakers. Here's the breakdown:
J.K. Dobbins: After a lackluster 40 yards of rushing last week, this matchup gives him a great opportunity to find his legs again. He is currently averaging just shy of 75 rushing yards and 0.7 TDs per game so far this season, and I expect him to finish with around 80 rushing yards and a TD this week.
Bo Nix: Again this offense definitely left a lot to be desired last week, and Bo Nix was part of that only throwing for 174 yards and a singular TD to Nate Adkins. With a questionable secondary this week vs the Giants, I expect Sean Payton to open up the pass game.
Evan Engram: Engram saw arguably his biggest workload last week with a season high 5 receptions for 42 yards. He seems to slowly be finding his identify in this offense after a few weeks with injury questions, and I feel like he will find a consistent amount of production around where he is now.
Courtland Sutton: Sutton saw just 1 reception for 17 yards last week, but this week is the perfect week for him and he is setup for a big week, with a struggling secondary they will look Sutton's way a lot this week. Sutton is my start of the week for this Broncos offense.
Broncos Defense: The Giants pose big rushing upside with Dart's mobility and the momentum of Skattebo from last week, they will likely try to lean on that again. But this D-Line is ranking top of the league and this should be a similar matchup to that Jets offense with Breece Hall and the rushing upside of Fields. If they can shut down that run game and force them to pass this should be a good matchup for this defense.
J.K. Dobbins projection: 13 points
Bo Nix projection: 17 points
Evan Engram projection: 9 points
Courtland Sutton projection: 15 points
Broncos DEF projection: 7 points
